In December 2011, at the BIA grading at the Ydachi dojo in Darwen, Hanshi Hachi dan and UK DNBK official, Mr Allan Tattersall, BIA President and founder member completed his 5 year term, and stepped down to make way for the new BIA president Mr Ernest Blackburn.
On behalf of the new board and all members we would like to take this opportunity to thank Allan for all his help getting the BIA started, and for making the introduction to our technical advisor, through the Soke of the ZNIR Ikeda Takashi Sensei, to Teruhisa Nanno Sensei, Menkyo Kaiden, Hachi dan.
Allan is not retiring from the BIA, but is now assuming his new role as Vice Chairman, so once again Allan, thankyou from all the members and officials.
